Welcome!
Thank you for joining our community space.
Come celebrate the 10th edition of International Repair Day at the Barbican Centre with a one-day festival of fixing, creative workshops and practical sessions all in the name of building community connection and collective action.
The festival is a collaboration between the Barbican Centre, City of London and The Restart Project.
It will take place on the ground floor foyer of the Barbican (enter via Silk Street or Lakeside) and will feature a repair café, photography exhibition, numerous workshops, a clothes swap and a chance to get involved in campaigning. Join us to learn how to repair your gadgets, mend clothing, create art out of ‘waste’ and more.
The event will be open entry, but for specific workshops please reserve a space via the Eventbrite page linked as capacity will be limited.
A Repair Café will take place between 11am-3pm.
Come along with a broken electrical or textile/clothing item, and fix it for free with the help of volunteer repairers! Book a slot via Eventbrite or walk in on the day (last walk in items accepted at 14:45).
Looking forward to seeing you there!
